Shopware veröffentlichte 2019 die erste Early-Access-Version (EA1) von Shopware 6. Die Version stand auf GitHub zum Download bereit.
Wer seinen Shop von Shopware 5 migrieren oder ein neues Projekt mit Shopware 6 starten wollte, konnte damit früh erste Erfahrungen sammeln. Laut Roadmap sollte mit Shopware 6.1 im Dezember 2019 der reguläre Update-Zyklus beginnen.
Passend dazu kündigten die Shopware Developers den Soft-Launch am 17. Juli 2019 auf Twitter an: "Don't tell anyone, it's a secret! Shopware 6 early access soft launch just happened and now we want your Feedback!"
